The Baby

Dear Katya,

Cousine Tatiana is feeling low again and naturally so since losing the baby. We do not think she will be like poor mad Felia. I remember when Felia was rocking that doll of Oleska’s and treating it like a real child. Poor Cousine Sima was beside himself with grief and worry for her.

It doesn’t look that Cousine Tatiana is going that way. Thankfully neither is dear Tycho.
Cambria and my brother continue here. Cambria does not want to leave, I think. I may be wrong. My mother is being too protective of Alexei. She is creating a lot of tension for them. Cambria has stayed longer in Valhalla than any of her siblings. She definitely knows our family much better than they do-warts and all. Our home has been her home for longer. I think that Alexei prefers it here for all that he avoids his little sister!
